VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Would you like to help inspire young minds with ACYCLE and spark a lifelong passion towards Culture, history and music?

We are looking for volunteers who are happy to engage as well as motivate children and families as we develop the education programme at ACYCLE.

Description of the role:

Volunteers required to deliver the ACYCLE program Tuesday's 2.30pm to 7.00pm or every other Saturday in term time only for children aged 5+

 

This could be;


• Helping to deliver, fun and inspiring sessions to the young children who will be attending the organised sessions.


• Assisting with any holiday activities, family events or programmes.


• Helping to develop resources for schools and children.

 

Opportunity Activities: Advice, Information and Support, Local Events, Teaching, Training and Coaching.

 

Availability required:

 

WEDNESDAY'S

Must be able to commit to a whole session volunteering - meeting at a venue at 2:30pm and finishing at 7:00pm. Must be reliable. Dates agreed in advance.

Learn new skills whilst inspiring the next generation. You don’t need to be a genius to volunteer, you just need to be willing to learn some alongside your club. In fact, utilising our projects with young people is a great way for everyone to learn.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting our Children’s and Young Person’s Facilitators with the delivery of our Acycle programme to young children in Ipswich. 

What skills and Abilities are needed?

  • Naturally engages with children

  • Willing to train in line with project objectives

  • Creative and happy to work as part of a team

  • Ability to travel to different locations

  • Enjoy working with children and families

  • Organised

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of working with children or experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of appropriate language for use with young children

 

Attitudes & Values:

  • Enthusiastic

  • Reliable

  • Non-judgemental attitude

  • Chooses to use language to promote equality and inclusivity

  • Willing and able to work with the changing Covid 19 guidelines

Details of mandatory training:

  • All volunteers are required to undertake mental wellbeing assessment and Adult and Child Safeguarding training.

  • General Induction including Health and Safety and Fire Awareness Training
     

Full training and support provided.
